Intex Air Mattress

Are you looking for an Intex air mattress?  Intex is a well known company that’s been around for over 40 years and has developed both indoor and outdoor recreation type products.  Aside from mattresses, they have developed pool toys and accessories, above ground pools and even boats.

The bottom line with them is they are definitely a company that has been around the block and they have a solid brand name.

Now as far as getting an Intex air mattress, when I went out shopping for one, I picked up one of the highest rated and cheapest ones I could find, the Intex Raised Downy Queen Airbed which came with a built in electric pump!  Believe it or not, this big bed with electric pump cost me only about $60 some odd bucks, a ridiculous bargain, the only question was how well will it hold up?

Well, here’s what I found.  The entire bed takes about 4 minutes to completely inflate and the great thing is you don’t have to use any kind of foot pump, or worse, your mouth, it’s powered electrically.  Now if you are setting this bed up temporarily like for some guests or for a camping trip, when you’re done with it, it does deflate quite rapidly by twisting a valve, all the air rushes out of a silver dollar sized hole.

Aside from setting it up and taking it down, the Intex air mattress is over 22 inches tall, at least the one I got which is a great height for me.  You’re not going to be struggling to get in and out of this bed because it’s too low to the ground, that’s for sure.

I also find that the bed is very comfortable which is important to me since I have a bad backache problem which has in the past kept me awake through the night.  No issue with that here though, I feel much less pain when resting on this surface than on my previous mattress.

The firmness of the Intex air mattress is also great, it doesn’t lose air too frequently and holds it’s own.  I haven’t had to inflate it for a month thus far and even if I did have to, it wouldn’t take long as it’s got the electrical pump.

The only issue that I’ve found with this bed thus far is that the canvas container is too small for the bed and it’s a pain trying to fit it in.  But after playing around with different ways of folding the bed up you’ll eventually figure it out and be able to fit it in.

Overall, I’d say the Intex air mattress Is an inexpensive yet surprisingly comfortable quick solution.
