Coleman Air Mattress

Are you considering picking up a Coleman air mattress?  There are many reasons you may want to go for such a mattress as it’s quite versatile.   Perhaps you fall into one of these categories:

1.  You enjoy going camping and you’re looking for the comfort of a home bed in the wilderness. 

2. You’ve just moved into a new house and have no bed as of yet and you’re looking for a quick make-shift bed.

3. You need to bring in a quick extra mattress for a guest room when guests are going to be staying over for the night.

4. You just want a mattress that is cheap, the Coleman air mattress can often be bought for under $100.

Now before you go out and buy this mattress, it’s a good idea to do a little background checking on the company itself to see what they’re all about and get an idea of their level of commitment to their own products:

The Coleman Company has been around for more than 100 years and is well known for not only their inflatable beds, but also their rainwear, fishing gear, hunting gear, survival equipment, towables, flotation devices, lanterns, stoves, tents, coolers, backpacks, grills and even furniture. 

They’re not a small company by any means and their success in a wide variety of product categories is a testament to their brand  value.

Now let me go over the reason why I went and picked up a Coleman air mattress.  You see, I’ve recently had to move out of my parents house and seeing as how I’m only renting right now, I didn’t want to spend the time and effort to outfit my apartment with a bunch of furniture only to have to remove it in a year or two when I finally buy my own place outright.

So considering this I began looking around for cheap beds.  At first I was looking at standard beds, but eventually I came across a ridiculously low priced bed which was this Coleman Air Mattress bed.  Well, I picked it up and thus far I LOVE it!  I’ve been sleeping on it for over a month so far and I haven’t had to refill it yet.  I’d imagine though if you have more than 1 person on it, it would need to be filled back up more regularly so that might be a con if you’re buying for 2.

Other than that, it is surprisingly comfortable.  I have to admit though that it took some time getting used to the whole water bed feel though.  Also, if you sleep near the edge of the bed you get the sensation like you’re going to fall off of it.  But if you lay on it for about 30 minutes or so you will begin to get used to it and soon you will not even want to go back to a regular bed! 

Here are a few more points about the Coleman air mattress:

-Easy to inflate/deflate, it folds away quick
-It retains the air quite well with 1 person lying on it
-It’s cheap
-When stacked it’s high enough that you don’t feel like you’re sleeping on the floor

Overall,  it’s a great bed for a very low price, highly recommended.
